UNDERSTANDING
BASE CURVE
The base curve of a lens is a measurement of the lens curvature or how much the lens curves to the shape of the face. It determines the form of a lens and measures its surface curve. A lens with a lower base curve provides the sunglasses with a flatter look while a higher number creates a wraparound frame shape.
